Vortex downloads

I play Skyrim LE and I am using Vortex 1.4. 16 I have Windows 10 and i have 16gb of ram,  Recently I have run into a problem, when i download a mod it is downloaded in Vortex but does not end up in the game,  I have around 200 mods but the game works fine. the only issue is that the downloaded mods do not show up in game.                                 Thanks Joe400099
