Lighting Documentation
This is a guidepost for pages about lighting.
Lighting in our game consists of few different systems working together, each contributing to some aspect on some scale:
- SVOTI - used for global ambient
- Environment probes - used for ambient specularity, modified by SVOTI
- Lights - used for diffuse and specular lighting from local light sources
- Reflex lights - used for diffuse and specular lighting from light portals (doors, windows...)
- Ambient lights - used for changes to ambient caused by local sources
- 3pl lighting - in-shader lighting for characters, but can be turned on any illum or humanskin shader
