Due to the varying complexity of mods they benefit from being marked by tags, which helps to better categorize the mod than when using only the main category. Files can be tagged by both file authors and members; if the author tags their file it becomes instantly tagged whereas 3 normal members are required to confirm a tag. A confirmed tag allows that file to be found or ignored using the tag search function, and also allows that file to be hidden from view using the content blocking function found in the user settings.
